FREE PATTERN: Jolly Romper Size 44 - 56 for newborns (0 - 2 months)
The „Jolly Romper“ is a very variable pattern. Sew an airy summer romper with short legs or go for long legs to get a practical piece for colder days. Both knit and woven fabrics are suitable for this pattern.
The European sizes are based on the child’s height measured in centimeters. In the ebooks, the sizes are indicated in both ways, centimeters, and inches of course. Also, the fabric requirement is listed in centimeters and yards. The European size of 44 - 56 corresponds to the UK or US size of 0 - 2 months.

Download the pattern and print it at home! Make sure to print at „Actual Size“. Do not scale! Check the test square to make sure that the pattern is printing at the correct size. The edges and markings on each page help you assemble the pattern in the right way. Match up 1 with 1, 2 with 2, etc.

You may use knit or woven fabrics (e. g. double gauze). Jersey or french terry is perfect. Please size up (in width, i.e. at the side seam) when using thick sweatshirt fleece or woven fabrics and if your child is well-built. Please use ribbing for bound edges and/or leg cuffs.
The right size
Lybstes sizes are always „up to - sizes“ according to the child‘s height (in cm). A size 80 is right for a child up to a height of 80 cm (31.5 in). From 81 cm (32 in) onwards you should choose size 86.
This romper sits neither boxy nor tight and should also fit well if your kid carries some baby fat or wears fabric diapers. The romper legs are rather roomy. However, every fabric has its very own characteristics. Very thick or stable sweatshirt fleece or woven fabrics may result in a closer fit. For chubby babies make sure to go one size up in width.
